Freeride4girls, girls 4 freeride

We’ve launched Freeride4girls to share our passion for free ride with other women, to get more women involved in freeride and downhill.

It all got a kickstart with a post on the forum of Mountainbike.nl. There was a minimum of 5 women needed for a separate class in the Mini Downhill in Apeldoorn. Was is hard to find 5 women? Is there a lack of interest in this extreme side of the sport? Or are we just riding amongst ourselves? A movement was started.

After a gentle start in Apeldoorn, the topic on Mountainbike.nl started to become more and more active. From every corner of the lowlands women came forward and we went to Winterberg; all levels and ages; just fun and passion!

We are not an exclusive club, any woman can join. We love freeride so much, we just want to share with everyone and give anyone a safe start in trying out and get started with freeride. So, you’re more than welcome to join in next time, don’t be shy just send us an email and be prepared to be addicted to your new hobby!
